This loop covers much of the same area as "Musdale, Avich and Scammadale" and "Musdale, Nant and Glen Lonan". The route described here takes an alternative descent route through the forest to Loch Nant (in reality, the connecting break in the alternative option from "Musdale, Nant and Glen Lonan" may be preferable), before heading south through the large windfarm on Carraig Gheall. It descends to Loch Avich and follows the river to Loch Awe.
At Kilchrenan there is an option (shown in GPX route here) to ride a loop out to the corner of the loch at Ardanaiseig Hotel, but the track connecting back to the road is very rough and probably not worth doing unless you are really interested! It is straightforward to cut this section out by cycling up the hill from Kilchrenan village. To get from Glen Nant oakwoods to Glen Lonan it is (in 2021) better to continue following the track down to the river and cross, rather than the route taken by the GPX file which breaks off through the edge of the felled foresty and over a fence.
