This loop covers much of the same area as "Musdale, Avich and Scammadale" and "Musdale, Nant and Glen Lonan". The route described takes an alternative descent route through the forest to Loch Nant, before heading south through the large windfarm on Carraig Gheall. It descends to Loch Avich and follows the river to Loch Awe.
At Kilchrenan there is an option (shown in GPX route here) to ride a loop out to the corner of the loch at Ardanaiseig Hotel, but the track connecting back to the road is very rough and probably not worth doing unless you are really interested! It is straightforward to cut this section out by cycling up the hill from Kilchrenan village. Finding a route to cross the hill back from Glen Nant oakwoods to Glen Lonan is also slightly challenging - it may be easier to simply follow the road to Taynuilt and back to Glen Lonan that way.
